Can I move my iris' and tiger lillies right now?

They are coming up... no blooms but they are way over packed. Can I break them up as well?

The lillies should be fine if you move them now. Iris are best moved the first two weeks of august. You can move them now but you will probably not have any or not very many blooms this year. Plus its so muddy in zone five. Thats where I am too) It would be hard to get them just right without packing mud around them. The tend to like it a little drier.
Reply:If you move these plants right now since they are both somewhat spring bloomers they might not bloom this year. Any thing that you are looking to transplant the best time to move these are after the plant blooms.
Reply:If it is past hard frost, then yes. I live in Virginia and mine are about a foot tall. My neighbor just moved hers last week and they are doing well.

Good Luck and Best Wishes.
Reply:i have never had any luck moving plants at this time of year
