is it an easy process?...do the grown seeldings produce the same color flowers?...how long does it take for a seedling to flower?
How to Hybridize "Iris germanica"?
This is something I have always wanted to do, and never even made the attempt. Good luck!
Look here (http://www.region18.com/hybridizing.htm) for basic information on hybridizing Iris, as well as answers to the other questions. It does seem to be a fairly easy process, but rather a long one from seed to bloom. He says it takes seed to rhizome one year, and rhizome to bloom, two years.
