I've heard Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls and Good ridance by Green day and love them.....?

Can you suggest any other songs of that type that i'd like - ie by bands like that but not loud stuff. Thanks!

1) Road Trippin' (the guitar in this song is like the green day song you mentioned)

2) Scar Tissue



Also try The Eagles: their song Hotel California is also soft rock-ish



Oh, and Jose Gonzales is the man of the moment, and these songs by him are also very good (again, they have the green day guitar style that you like):

1) Heartbeats

2) Hand on you Heart



Also, Radiohead are not that loud, but nevertheless they rock:

1) No surprises

2) Karma Police

Reply:I love fun punk bands like Green Day, but not the noisy aggressive noise that most people still associate with punk. If this is what you mean then try ;- 'Blink182', 'Sum41', 'Less than Jake', 'The Descendants', 'Offspring' and my personal favourites, 'Me first and the Gimme Gimmes'.

Hes the guitarist in the Chili Peppers but i like his soo work more...the albums normally cost a canny bit in Hmv n virgin n shops but there prety cheap on the internet. The most chilled out of his albums is curtains, his acoustic album. BUY!!!!!

Reply:If you adore "Iris" by the goo goo dolls, then I would definitely recommend you avoid at all cost, on pain of death, listening to the new version of it by Ronan t**t Keating, can't remember the last time he released anything original...it's ok...I am definitely NOT a Ronan Keating fan..just saw this as an opportunity to moan about him!!
