The iris reflex?

a) protects the retina from too much light



b) lets the retina detect coloured light



c) changes the shape of the lens



d) stops the eyeball from drying out



please do give an answer unless you are 100% sure.

Shine a light in your eyes and your retina decreases so as to prevent too much light from entering. Turn the light off and your retina increases to allow more light so that you can see. (This is why you have to make sure sunglasses have UV protection. If you are tricking your eyes into thinking it's darker and allowing them to expand while there is still a lot of UV rays present, this could damage your eye.)
