I am wonderng why diff.kind of people have diff color in their eye's iris? Tell me what color looks pleasing?

Good question. Brown eyes have brown pigment, of course. Blue eyes have little or no pigment. It's an evolution thing. People who's ancestry goes back to areas around the equator developed brown pigment to help reduce the more direct and brighter sunlight that can damage eyes. Northern Europeans, who evolved higher up on the planet, where the sunlight is less intense, had no need for the adaptation.

i have a granddaughter who has green eyes...very beautiful green eyes, ofcourse i'm a doting old grampa so what do i know.
Reply:The color of a persons eyes is based off of their body's levels of a pigment called melanin, which also gives the skin it's tint. Therefore, you will notice that albinos, who have a COMPLETE absence of melanin, not only have really pale skin, there is no coloring in their iris, so the iris becomes pink because that's the color of the muscle. Conversely, someone of african descent commonly has very dark eyes, due to the levels of melanin affecting their skin and eyes. This is why certain eye colors are associated with certain ethnicities. (Sorry to say, but the answerer above me is wrong about brown pigment. Brown eyes just have a lot more melanin. There is no brown, blue, or green pigment)

As for which colors I find pleasing, I find it has more to do with how much light reflects (bright, dark eyes) out of their eyes than the actual color, or in other words, how much of the color you can see.

Reply:Any eye colour can be extremely pleasing when matched with the correct hair and clothes. Green or blue eyes tend to have a head start in this regard, however.
Reply:The color in a person's eye is all about genetics. The dominant gene for eye color usually becomes that person's eye color, unless a ressessive gene comes up. Lots of people I know like deep blue eyes. Mostly girls but deep blue seems to be a popular eye color.
