If you are looking for the real flowers they are started with bulbs. Walmart sells them in the spring of the year.
However if you live in the southern states just find some that you like and ask the owner if they plan on "splitting" them and would they mind sharing with you. My mother has a whole lot of iris flowers that she was given by friends, family, and strangers that became friends.

Are you talking about fresh or silk. If it is silk and you have a Hobby Lobby store, they have the best flowers and they look real. They also have sales constantly!
