I am 37. I have always had brown eyes with a little green in them. Now it seems that I have half green eyes and half brown. Is this possible?
Can the color of the iris of the eye change color as one gets older?
yes eye colour changes drastically with age although it mostly happens from when you are a baby to when puberty ends but it is always changing the colour of your eyes depends on the amount of rods and cones you have so people with green eyes see the world differantly than people with blue eyes (sharper colours or better night vision) although it happens so slowly you will never notice the differance
Reply:Some people lose pigment as they age.
I thought that your kind of eyes was referred to as "hazel" colored.
Reply:yes as you grow older yours iris will start to lighten.
Reply:My ex-girlfriend Iris changed color, when she tanned, when she was drunk or I pissed her off.
Reply:Very possible.
Mine change day to day from grey to blue to green to hazel.
Reply:Yes,but they dont actually change,it could be anything from what your wearing to what kind of mood your in,chances are they will change periodically but most people dont notice it because it happens so slowly
Reply:The same thing happens to me, they change with the color of my clothes. The color is called Hazel eyes.
