Suggest an introductory book for beginner-student of Iris Murdoch's novels?

I am looking for something on her basic philosophical beliefs and her art as a novelist. I am particularly interested in the only novel of hers I have read so far - "The Time of Angels"

If this question comes up to the vote, then I beg you not to vote for me. I am not playing for points and I would rather not receive any points whatsoever.
Reply:I would say "The Severed Head", or "The Bell" to start. Also, my favorite is "The Unicorn", but this might be out of print. I"m not sure. Check your local library. "The Sea, The Sea" is also wonderful, but a bit thick for a starter. Murdoch is a tremendous novelist. Good luck to you!
