Well it was written for the movie City of Angels and it goes along with the plot of the movie, but it can have different meanings also. It would make a GREAT first dance in a wedding.

The song was originally written for the movie "City of Angels" (starring Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan) and then it turned into a major hit of the 90s. I'd say it would make a good song for a first dance, yeah :)
