A pupil and an eye socket. The iris is an important part of the eye and you shouldn't leave it laying around. It would be "out of sight", but don't do it. Also make sure you have an eye specialist transplant it, could be dangerous to attempt this yourself. Forgive my humor. I know you meant the flower..but I had to do it, I have the impish gene and I do this occassionally.
What should I put with my iris when transplanting them%26gt;?
divide and don't plant deeply at all. just cover loosely with soil...
Reply:I have planted Iris's in the rocky west coast, and brought them with me to the cold north just put yum in and enjoy them, be careful not to plant to deep they actually do better closer to the top
Reply:Are you thinking of companion plants? One of my favorites to underplant any perennial is sweet alyssum. Helps keep the weeds down, too.
