Does anyone know anything about Iris Chang, or Nanking?

I've recently purchased a book titled 'The Rape of Nanking' from Amazon.com. If you've read it, or know anything about it, please let me know!

Does anyone know anything about Iris Chang, or Nanking?
I read the book not too long ago. It is a very sobering account of an atrocity that has been mostly ignored by the rest of the world.
Reply:Iris Shun-Ru Chang (1968-2004) was a Chinese American historian and journalist. "The Nanjing Massacre, The Rape of Nanking" was a 1997 best seller. On November 9, 2004, she committed suicide. If you go to Wikipedia it gives you a breif summary of her life and her works.
Reply:I read it many years ago - it was a well-written and interesting story about that time - very graphic, but worth the read.
