Hello! I have a yellow ring around my iris for about 1 year now, what is this and how can i treat it asap? ty.

Deposits in the cornea (ring is in cornea, not iris) in people under age 40 are most often due to high cholesterol levels. In people over age 40, they may just be due to aging.

There are some other rare conditions that can cause corneal deposits. If you have not had a recent eye exam, see your eye doctor.

There is no way to treat this.

A yellowish ring around your cornea (the clear part above the iris) could be a sign of high cholesterol. This is common in elderly folks but can be seen in younger folks. Either way, have an Ophthalmologist take a look ASAP so you can resolve it ASAP.
Reply:Did you ever check for liver problems? Sometimes yellowing of the eyes can be caused by a liver problem/damage.
